hard to start
looking for answers as to why one of our sprinters is sometimes hard to start. It seems to most often pop up after van has sat a few days. When going to start first thing in morning, it will just spin over as long as cranking. I think the guy stops after 15-20 secs, then he tries again. Usually on 3rd or 4th try it will bust right off, and there wont be any more problems the rest of the week, untill it sits over the weekend. Had it in dealership for several days,(they let it sit also)but of course it started every time and left no codes, and all fuel pressures were where they were supposed to be. Any thoughts would be welcome. Also has anyone else had there antenna go bad?

If an '02 or '03, could be hard to start because low pressure fuel pump has lost its prime. My '02 will act like that after sitting unused for a couple weeks. Probably due to a small leak-in of air somewhere in the line or fuel filter upstream of the low pressure pump on the front of the engine causing the fuel to drain back to the fuel tank.

Mine does same thing only its the battery...tech warned me that DC puts in a minimum cranking battery it's resever capacity is LOW... I should get a more powerful one to replace the OEM asap.
