Fuel leak.
During cold wheather startup fuel leaks from fuel line or pump, not really able to see exactly where the leak is. But after engine warms up the leak stops. I am wondering if the seals between the fuel line and the fuel pump may shrink during cooler wheather? During warm wheather there is never a leak.

Is the a om647 engine 2004, 05, or 06. is so you may be correct. is he leak comming from the front of the engine. i have seen 2 thing is so. #1 like you said the fuel lines at the injection pump or #2 the actual injection pump is leaking between the seals and when it warms up it goes away. It is most likely going to get worse over time. just keep and eye on it.

fuel leak
Sorry, I didn't provide enough information. The sprinter van is a 2003, with a 2.7liter engine. The leak appears to originate at the fuel pump where the fuel lines are attached. The leak only occurs when the temperature is near freezing. Once the engine is warmed up it does not leak any longer.
Iam trying to determine if the leak is from the fuel line connection, or if the fuel pump has an integeral bypass that may be faulty?
On another note, has anyone figured out how to replace the glow plugs without completely removing the engine?
Any information would be greatly appreciated.
