Hello everybody, I'm new to the forum but have had my sprinter for just over 100,000 miles. I thought I had the greatest truck since sliced bread until I had my transmision fluid changed, that's when it all went down hill. The truck started going into ( what I have learned from you guys) the LHM mode. I brought it to the dealer and I guess I had a bad valve body $1711.00 cha-ching.the truck rode OK for a week, and it went back to the LHM, and I brought it back to the dealer, I guess i had a cracked intercooler hose $250.00 not bad this time if it worked, but it didn't! cha-ching. The truck went back to LHM mode and so I searched out you guys in the forum. I've learned a bit since looking at everyone elses woes, and now I think i need to do the EGR valves. I priced some out on the web and was wondering if $350.00 for I guess one EGR valve is a normal price? And since being a part of the forum discovering I need two of them!!!! Please let me know if they are easy to replace myself, or should I risk bringing the truck to a reputable mechanic other than the dealer that I have no confidence in. Help!!
