thank you for the link to the sprinter repair manual... it is just what i need. much appreciated. not a lot of info about draining the water separator though... i must assume that when replacing the fuel filter there is no need to worry about any water in the system since there is a water sensor integrated into the fuel filter to illuminate a warning of water in the bottom of the fuel filter. or... are there two versions of fuel filter ? can anyone clear that up for me ?

The sensor goes in the top. Once you put in a new filter the water is gone any ways.

Hi all,
My first post... I am considering a 2004 passenger with 140+ miles for the family car. I just lost my 2005 in a 3 car, rush hour pile up. I would prefer to get a Sprinter with a MAF, manifold (or mass) air flow sensor. This is a requirement for Mac based, Movi Plus, diagnostic software.
The pdf Service Manual, file name from "flman" was "2005_VA_Sprinter", included a section on MAF. But I couldn't tell if this manual covered all 2002 to 2006 or was just a 2005. It downloaded & ran well with my Mac Air and was very helpful. Also "Search" doesn't return any year info.
Any help on either MAF or the SrvMan question ?
