looking for some help for my hubby....since I'm computer savvy...and don't like to get grease under my nails...LOL

It appears from what our mechanic told us that we need to replace the O-rings in the fuel injector pump...when he turns the ignition on fuel begins to leak out between the two pcs of metal, I guess the pump is made from steel and aluminum....how much trouble would that be to change them...really don't want to spend over $1000 to replace the pump...

He said he had never done that on a Sprinter...I'm not sure how good he is...a friend of a friend, might be a shade tree mechanic...any ways we have a 2004 Dodge Sprinter 3500 that has been leaking diesel for a couple months now, I imagine...hubby thought it might have been the injectors but it appears that it is the Injector Fuel Pump...I think that is what the part was called when I looked it up on the internet.
