Default Secondary AC compressor Belt and Pulley failure

We run a Daimler Commercial Bus upfitted 2006 Sprinter. The auxiliary AC belt and pulley system which runs the secondary compressor off the crankshaft has failed 5 times. Twice leading to engine destruction. Once via crankshaft failure.

If anyone else has had similar problems please contact me at davidmayfield@msn.com. I need advice and help...

    Thanks.

Many people are having this same problem mainly because the second belt is TOO TIGHT! It pulls the crankshaft to one side putting pressure on the bearings and hence failure....Alot of people think the belt has to be REAL TIGHT....NOT!!! It should be torqued at the minimum recommended setting.
