    Default Low Voltage

I have a 2003 2500hc passenger vehicle and the transmission is locked in park (although I do know how to unlock it now) and the ASR light in lower right corner of instr. panel is also lit. I know the asr is not working because of rear wheel spin. I read this could be low voltage but all I know to check is at battery, and it is over 13 volts. I have also posted this in the maintenance forum in hopes someone will help. thanks.

    Default Update

One more bit of info, it now appears there is a short that is affecting the brake lights and the ASV system. I unhooked the brake light switch and found one of the plugs going into the switch is shorting, the plug with two wires. The plug with three wires is OK and that unlocked my shifter after replacing the fuse for the brake lights and connecting the three wire plug back to the brake switch.
If anyone can think of a connection between the brake light return wire ( the plug with two wires connecting to the brake switch) and the ASV system, that should be the problem.
