2.7 Serpentine belt issues

Is anyone else having serpentine belt problems on the 2.7 liter engine??? We have had two problems within 5000 miles.
The first time it was a tension idler failure that tossed the belt.
The second time it was the 10 cent plastic idler that broke and shredded the belt. That episode also destroyed the fuse box next to the battery.
Good thing it was still under warranty!!!

Myself I've had no expected problems but know a few that have...usually it is just lack of knowledge about the system and not doing the full job....like checking out all the pulleys to make sure you don't hear steel on steel sounds coming from any of them..an indicator of dry bearings...most just concentrate on the issue at hand and forget the rest....if one is wearing then the others are close behind.....
