Value source
Hi gang! New member here. I am president of a small family business. We are looking for a used truck to fit our needs, namely transporting heavy medical equipemet, but only one or two items at a time. Luckily, a local business owner agreed to rent us his 2008 cargo long body, high roof, Sprinter for a 1,000 mile round trip delivery. This Sprinter has a powered lift in back that made loading and unloading equipment very manageable. The truck has 80,000 miles and we know the mechanic well who serviced it over its life. After that long intro, my question is, where do we go to get a fair market value for this vehicle? Any suggestions? We are located outside Atlanta but I have been unable to find a good way to determine its value. By the way, I loved the way it dirves and the Mercedes diesel performed beutifully! Thanks for any help.

Thouroughly read through this forum to see what some people are going through before you even think about getting a used sprinter!!! They are overly engineered, and phenominaly expensive to fix, unless of course you are a mercedes mechanic. If you just have to have a sprinter, buy a brand new one and get some kind of extended warranty that will take the powertrain beyond 200,000 miles and maybe you'll be covered!!

Just like any Mercedes! But keep in mind "traditional" American manufactures labor and parts rates are also going throught the roof. And it's getting so you can work on these vans or take them to your local mechanic.
Mercedes does have one thing going for them... "Unlimited" Mile Leases for business owners. A small business owner can get all the benifits of leasing without the mile restrictions.
