    Default Window Assembly Problem

Hi, I have a 2006 Sprinter. The driver window would not roll up, so I took the door panel off and discovered why. On the bottom of the window is a track in which a small piece of plastic attaches to the arm and slides back and forth, allowing the window to go up and down. This little piece of plastic that holds the arm in place broke in half. I took the piece out and figured that a new one would easily fix the problem. The motor still works fine. I called my local Dodge Dealer and was told that in order to get the piece of plastic I would need to spend $215 on an entire window assembly. They of course do not sell just the plastic part. Has anyone dealt with this and does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you very much for your time.

Look here, if you see your part, then order online, if not your gonna have to cough up the money or make your own part? I would most likely consider making the part if it were not too complex?

For some reason, that forum won't allow me to view those images. I registered and created an account, but when I log in, it won't let me view the photos. I'm going to try and build my own part, but any help in viewing those photos would be greatly appreciated.

    Smile window track problems

Not sure if this helps but i had the same problem with my 2003 3500 Sprinter. I was just driving and window fell down and de-railed itself but the glass did not break. I used a small carriage bolt in place of the plactic portion that had broken off. Just had to make a slight modification to the bolt and cut it to size. the window is electronically operational but does not go all the way down stays up a couple of inches. That doesnt bother me though. 2-3 hundred dollars bothers me.
