I have a 2000 208D (non turbo) with 157000 miles on it
had it around 6 months It has had a recon head on it just before i bought it ,previous owner let a leaking fuel line spray diesel on to a coolant hose for a while and then cooked it when all the water sprayed out
It sounds great mechanically no knocks whistles or bangs .I ve checked all the hoses and vacuum lines and all the wiring harness connectors for damage/leaks etc with no results
the problem is this .On a light throttle it will feel rough and hesitate to pick up for about 10 or 15 seconds then suddenly smooth out Ive also noticed that it can be a bit reluctant to start from hot if I don't wait for the glow light to go out .and its gutless! which seems to be slowly getting worse I know the 208 is a bit slow but this one struggles to hold 60 sometimes on the flat!! any ideas ??
