    Default wastegate solenoid.

I'm being told there's NO such part.

Are there any sprinter techs here that could supply a part #??

This is for a 2002 with the "non 50 state motor"

Wastegate on turbo is stuck open - NO boost pressure at all...

Have two sprinters - and DRBIII with sprinter card and interface.

Boost pressure on "problem unit" won't go over 15 PSI -

Other unit will go a LOT higher....

I did replace the turbo - and thankfully, once I got the old one off - it needed it - impellar blades had been rubbing on the housing, not a MAJOR rub, but, becoming enough to be concerned about.

    any help appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Autolox,

You can find a list of parts for Sprinters, years 2002 - 2007
    here....

The files are in PDF format. You'll need a PDF reader. Most people use Adobe Acrobat Reader (or whatever they call it this week) and you can get it at adobe.com as a free download.

'02's boost is controlled by positioning the nozzle vanes in the turbo. The vane actuator is operated by system vacuum which is supplied by a vacuum pump next to the low pressure fuel pump at the front of the engine. Look here for the part you need:
