Yep, the DPF was big oils way of making sure you can not burn bio diesel in 2007 and up diesels.
Cant you just go to a name brand fuel station and fill up with straight diesel like I do?

Ah, the irony. To buy a vehicle that cannot run on the fuel that is mandated by the state. Sorry to say this, but you have to leave the state of Illinois to fuel up. And if you find a pump in Illinois that doesn't have a biodiesel blend label, it doesn't matter. The state doesn't require pumps to be labeled for biodiesel even if that is what is in the pump.

So, bio is mandated in Illinois? In all my 19 years of owning diesels I have never have never burned biodiesel. No place to buy it local in NYS.

I thought I posted a "I stand corrected" post, but it's not here. On further research it appears the only "mandate" is that Illinois government vehicles have to use B5 or higher. However, the fuel taxes are such that bio blends are given such an advantage that it is pretty close to impossible to find non-bio diesel on the fly.As someone who is always flying through, I just don't fuel in Illinois. Making that more difficult is that Wisconsin is supposted to be going to B10 in 2012.
