Default Driveability problem around 2000 rpms

    [b]
I have an 04 Sprinyer 2500 with about 75,000 miles on it. It has developed a shudder between 1800 and 2200 RPM. I have burned thru 2 tanks of fuel from different sorces and it is only getting worse. Does any body have a clue after checking in with my dealer it is clear they do not. They claim they have never heard of the problem but after getting hosed once I do not believe them.

    Thanks
    Mark

Probably the transmission. If the shudder is on heavy acceleration, then it needs a fluid flush. If the shudder sounds like rumble strips and happens when almost coasting, then there is no known fix and most would say it's only an annoyance. Anyway, the transmission fluid should be changed every 60k miles. There is a TSB on transmission noise issues. Look here for it:
