Hi Sprinter Owners,

Last Tuesday or Wednesday night, some low-life crawled underneath my '04 Sprinter Van and cut out the exhaust from just behind the sleeve joint behind the turbo. The flexible portion of the hose allowed the remain stub of a piece to rattle obnoxiously against the crossmember below. Otherwise a surgical job performed with a sawzall using a good quality hacksaw blade. Probably didn't take them 5 minutes.

I called the police and learned that along the road where my business is located, many other businesses suffered the same fate. All totaled, over a dozen Sprinters, and many other trucks were hit.

Now I know how much you have to pay to get replacement parts stamped with the "chicken foot." Has anyone tried an aftermarket system. Performance is not an issue (I don't need my vans to be on the news for drag racing!), but a bump in fuel mileage would not hurt my feelings given the price of fuel lately!

All thoughts appreciated!

-Bill

BTW, they both live inside now. No more cold nights for my babies.
