I have a 2005 Sprinter 2500 cargo van (big tin can on wheels) and it runs great. A little too great as the speed gets away from me and I will be doing 80 and then go AHHH! and try to slow down. This thing can really go. Anyways there is a control stick that angles up and to the left on the steering column. You can push it forward and back and left and right. It has an indicator for + and - for the right and left motion of the stick. I can push that stick all over and it has no effect on the engine speed. I have looked in the paperback owners manual at the fuse blocks but no fuse is indicated for controlling the cruise control.

Is it possible they built the truck with the stick but not cruise control mechanics in the engine? Are there any clues as to whether it has cruise or not? Any trouble shooting tips would be very much appreciated.

It's a nice vehicle but I do not want a SoCal CHP on my Sprinter's big butt!
