Default Conversion to RV for single person

I'm looking for people to help me with info. Will buy probably 2008 Sprinter to convert, but not a "package" deal. Need floor, insulation, walls, power access, water - but all else I'll do myself. So far can't find any business willing to do less than full conversion to their plan. Any ideas? I plan to travel the US for a year, want a very "plain vanilla" functional conversion, no fancy stuff except I want to use solar to the extent I can. Help? Is there another forum/list that is more geared to what I need? Also, by the way - any diesel Sprinter owners using bio-diesel? Thanks!

I'd call Creativemobileinteriors.com , They do this type of thing regularly.

Barbara, I recently converted my Sprinter to an RV. It has 10 gal water tank, 15 gal holding tank, sink on 4 ft. counter, ceramic toilet, inverter, microwave, two large batteries, lights, insulated and paneled with birch. It sleeps two but one spot could be used for storage if used by a single person. We use electric skillet and microwave for limited cooking. Send me your email address and I will send photos of conversion. It is unique in that I have never seen this floorplan before. My wife, and I have used class B vans for 10 years and really built this one so it would have all the features we want and none of the ones we do not need. texlock@excite.com. Steve.

    Default RV conversion

jschuyler: Thanks a lot for the CreativeMobileInteriors recommendation--I hadn't come across them before and they look amazing and exactly what I've been hopint to come across.

Barbara: Have you decided what you are going to do? I came across another company that should do exactly what you are wanting to do, as much or as little as you want but not, I think, quite as luxurious as CreativeMobileInteriiors. Here it is:
    customvehicles.com
I hope that is helpful and would love to hear what you do as I have a similar goal.

I own a company that converts sprinters. I would be glad to help you any way I can. If you are looking to save money I can get most of the supplies you need very cheap. Let me know.
